Ann Polard 98, of Derry died Friday March 17, 2017 in Excela Latrobe Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born June 1, 1918 in Ramey a daughter of the late Jan and Pearl Sudacka Matachosky.

Ann was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Derry. She was devoted to her family and had a kind and generous heart. Working in her flower garden, growing tomatoes, cooking and baking were the things that she loved to do.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Polard, an infant brother Joseph, three brother's; Michael, Walter and Joseph Matachosky. Four sister's; Mary Warholic, Kay Smolenski, Sophie Ditty and Aggie Matachosky.

She is survived by her daughter Gloria Henigin of Derry, her son's; Robert S. Polard (Suzanne) of Allison Park and George A. Polard (Margaret) of Robinson Twp. A sister Helen Radnoti of Chicago,IL and a brother Andrew Matachosky of Ebensburg. Nine grandchildren; Renee and Kristen Puschnigg, Dale and Darin Henigin, Craig, Christian and Clifford Polard. Michael and Jeffrey Ames. Twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 2pm in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Stephen C. West as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
