Freda E. Bennett, 91 of Mahaffey passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Freda was born January 17, 1926 in Mahaffey, Bethlehem Hill, a daughter of the late John A. and Dora (Montgomery) Lee. Freda was an amazing cook and baker who made delicious pies and breads. She enjoyed quilting and crafts and was an avid baseball fan. She also loved bird watching and feeding the birds in her yard. Freda was the beloved grandmother of seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a beloved great -granddaughter Alexis who preceded her in death. In addition to her great -granddaughter, she was preceded in death by her husband Orvis Bennett and two sons; Charles and LeRoy Bennett. Freda is survived by three sons; Ken Bennett and wife Jackie of DuBois, Tom Bennett of Mahaffey and Fred Bennett and wife Susan of Cherry Tree. Two daughters; Diane Rainey and husband Bill of Mahaffey and Mona Murray and husband Ken of Woodland. Arrangements are private for family and under the direction of the Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mt.
