Lois M. Ritenour, 79 of New Derry died Saturday July 23, 2016. She was born Tuesday, September 22, 1936 in Fairfield Twp., a daughter of the late Mohney B. and Belle Muir McMaster.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Glenn Ritenour, a son David Paul Ritenour, 2 daughter's; Evelyn Belle Ritenour and Yvonne Suzette "Sue" Shaffer. A grandaughter Pamela Ann Ritenour, four brothers; Edgar, James, Robert and Wayne McMaster; and five sisters; Katherine McMaster, Iva Lynn, Jane Crowe, Bertie Ritenour and Ellen Secrist.

Lois was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church. She had worked as a waitress at Himic's and Denny's for most of her life before retiring in 1995. She loved to spend time with her family, have picnics, watch the birds and work on puzzles. She was happy to serve in her work, with friends, family and her faith.

Lois is survived by 4 Sons, Scotty J. Ritenour (Judy) of Latrobe, Charles B. Ritenour ( friend Lynlee) of Australia, Ronald G. Ritenour of Denver, CO, and Donald G. Ritenour (Denise) of Derry. One daughter Cynthia A. "Cindy" Cox (Sam) of Latrobe. Her brother Earl McMaster (Clara) of Ligonier. Daughter-in-laws Debra Sessi Ritenour of aGermantown, MD and Sharon McCarson Ritenour of Richmond, VA. A son-in-law Dan Shaffer of Latrobe.16 grandchildren; Kristina Shaarda (Keith), Michelle Cox, Aaron Jones (Jennifer), Scotty Ritenour (Connie), Sara and Amanda Ritenour, Pammy Jo Smith (Jonathan). Lois Tolvinski (Alex Szeliga), Emily Tolvinski (Ryan Hare), David, Charleene, Tracy, Michelle, Nicole, Katelin and Samantha Ritenour. Nine great grandchildren; Korey, Carrissa, Jonathan, Damian, Donaphin, Ian, Chelsea, Kaylee and Mason. Numerous nieces, nephews and her best friend Jane Cox.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11am with Paul Funk officiating. Interment will be private.
