Louis W. Joe, 77, of New Derry, died Tuesday May 30, 2017 at his home. He was born February 14, 1940 in Latrobe a son of the late Wilbur "Woody" and Jean Kelly Joe.

Lou was a member of St. Martin Roman Catholic Church of New Derry. He was a retired electrician having worked for his uncle Nege Joe and the IBEW Local #5. He loved going to camp and hunting in Emporium.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Woody A. Joe.

He is survived by his wife Maxine Fannie Joe, his daughter Debi Kelly (Tom), two sons; Louis A. Joe and Scott A. Joe (Janice) all of New Derry. Seven grandchildren; Brittany and Stephanie Joe, Lindsey, Christopher and Riley Kelly, Mikaela and Kameron Joe. A brother Robert "Bobby" Joe of New Derry, two sisters, Rose Henry of Latrobe and Cindy DeCario (Vince) of New Derry. A sister-in-law Debi of Murrysville, numerous nieces and nephews.

At Lou's request there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be announced at a later time.

McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry is in charge of arrangements.
