Roger C. Reitz, 57 of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Roger was born on November 21, 1959 in Kittanning, a son of Paul Reitz of Punxsutawney and the late Doris (Claypoole) Reitz. In 1974, he was blessed with his second mom, Joyce Reitz, who also precedes him.

He attended the Scotland Avenue Church, was a former firefighter and EMT at the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Company, enjoyed hunting, playing cards, was an avid sports fan, and was very proud of his children

In addition to his father, he is survived by one son; Brandon Reitz (fiancé Megan Tonkin) of Punxsutawney, one daughter; Alyssa Reitz (fiancé Michael Williams) of Virginia, two brothers; Barry (Diane) Reitz of Ellicott City, MD, Randy (Susan) Reitz of Guys Mills, PA, three sisters; Sharon Sue Reitz of Punxsutawney, Marianna (Fred) Marley of Punxsutawney, Brenda (Phillip) Guidice of Indiana, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 3-5 and 6-8 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11 AM with Pastor Kyle Yates officiating.

Interment is private for family.
