Rose Bonicalzi Obituary

Rose Bonicalzi,81 of Rossiter, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center. Rose was born February 20, 1936 in Rossiter, a daughter of the late Ricco and Letizia (Piantanida) Bonicalzi. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter. Rose graduated from the Rossiter High School in 1954 and worked many years at the Adrian Hospital and later the Punxsutawney Area Hospital in the billing department. Her favorite vacation spot was LasVegas where she and her sister enjoyed many shows. Rose was an avid reader and a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. She is survived by one sister; Sandra Stamler of Rossiter, three nephews; Christopher and Kim Stamler and family, Louis Bonicalzi and Beth and Rico Bonicalzi. Three nieces; Jenni Stamler, Cheryl and Glen Costello and family, Sandy and Eddie Crouse and family. She also kept in contact with family in Italy, Valeria, Marco, Elvira and Binda. She leaves behind her closest friends Sylvia Ferrara, Mary Louise Tyger and Michelle and Danny Brink. She was preceded in death by two brother's; Francis "Mitch" Bonicalzi and Louis Bonicalzi and two sister's; Gloria McIntire and infant; Gloria and friend ;Pat Shaffer. Friends will be received from 2-7 pm Friday, February 9, 2018 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. Additional visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am.
