Rudolph R. "Rudy" Prah, 93, of Derry died Saturday June 24, 2017 in Excela Latrobe Hospital. He was born June 10, 1924 in New Derry, a son of the late John and Louise Leske Prah.

Rudy was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Derry. He was a proud WWII US Army veteran having served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, Past Commander of the Derry American Legion and member of VFW Post #444. He had retired from Latrobe Steel and was an avid hunter who had belonged to numerous sportsman's organizations.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth P. Battaglia Prah, three sisters; Mary Ream, Fannie Opatka and Rose Benedict. Four brothers; John, Joseph, Louis and Fred Prah.

He is survived by his daughter Sandra and her husband Allan Kahl of Derry. His grandaughter Alandra Kahl, several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Derry.

Private interment will be made in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.

The Derry-Latrobe Veterans Honor Guard will conduct a service Wednesday at 9:30am in the funeral home.
