Ruth M. Johnson, 90, formerly of Star Route East, Ligonier, died Friday April 21, 2017 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg.

She was born September 22, 1926 in Central, WV a daughter of the late James and Anna Milbauer McCullough.

Ruth was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ligonier and had spent the last few years of her life at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg.

In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by her husband Philip H. Johnson Jr. and her brother Paul McCullough.

She is survived by her daughter Lynn R. Fritsche (Robert) of Carmel, IN, her two sons; Philip H. Johnson III of Bluffton, SC and Alan L. Johnson (Kim) of Ligonier. Her sister Jean Smith of Marietta, Ohio, four grandchildren; Heather, Matthew, Meghan and Jeffrey. A special niece Pam Saunders (Steve) of Vienna, WV and several other nieces and nephews.

A private service was held at the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry. Interment was made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
