Samuel A. McKowen, 65, of Derry died Monday May 23, 2016 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. He was born June 5, 1950 in Riverdale, Maryland a son of the late George and Ruth Wallace McKowen.

Sam is survived by his loving wife Vickie A. Dunlap McKowen, his daughter Barbara E. Cramer (Ken) and 2 grandsons Michael and Johnny Panizzi.

Services and interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies was private for the family.

McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avennue, was in charge of arrangements.
