Albert G. Semon, 89 of Glen Campbell, passed away Monday, September 1, 2017 surrounded by his family at home. Albert was born October 11, 1927 in Banks Twp. Indiana County, a son of the late Peter and Susan Franco Semon. Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Agnes E. Yorko Semon of Glen Campbell. They were married June 18, 1955. Albert was a proud US Navy veteran of WWII having served on the Battleship USS North Carolina for 3 years. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and the Glen Campbell American Legion. Albert was instrumental in starting the Glen Campbell Volunteer Fire Company where he was President and Fire Warden of Indiana County. He also served as President of Glen Campbell Council and the Secretary Treasurer of the Ascension Church of Arcadia for 53 years and served as President of Ss. Peter & Paul Mens Fraternity in Punxsutawney where he was also a member. Albert was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors and was there to help anyone in need. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by many. In addition to his wife Agnes, he is survived by one son; Kenneth D. Semon (Joyce) of Nagodoches, TX., two daughters; Marsha D. Skinner (Steve) of Julian, PA., and Constance L. Lowmaster (Chris) of Glen Campbell. five grandchildren; Kendra, Kandace and Kenny Semon and Daniel and Lee Lowmaster. also one great grandchild; Kyleigh. Two brothers; Edward Semon of Valley City, OH., David Semon of Ohio, three sisters: Irene Verbiak (Frank) of Ohio, Margaret Rudin of Lakewood, OH., and Dorothy Callaghan (Michael) of Australia. He was preceded in death by three brothers; John, Joseph and Michael Semon and two sisters; Mary Moe and Sister Mary John (Helen). At Mr. Semon' s request all arrangements are private for family. Please make memorial donations to Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Punxsutawney or to any veterans association of your choice.
