Carl R. Ankney

Carl R. Ankney, 70, of Latrobe, passed away peacefully at his home December 6, 2023.  He was a born June 3, 1953, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Carl W. and Dorothy J. (Hoyman) Ankney.  Carl owned and operated Ankney Paving. He loved spending time with his family especially his grand and great grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ankney, his sons Joseph Brody Jr (Rebecca) of Loyalhanna, Thomas Brody (Angela) of Indiana, a daughter Cecilia Burnette of MO, a brother Edward Ankney of Vacaville CA, sisters, Linda Lathrop of Vacaville CA, Mary Jiminze, Irene Dull, Dorothy Muller all of Fairfield CA, and Ruth Richardson of NM, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Carl is preceded in death by a son Verne P. Ankney.  Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 pm, in the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry, Sunday December 10, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am with Rev Larry C. McDonnell officiating.  Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Latrobe.
