Mike Relick "Spike", 94, of Latrobe passed away peacefully at his home November 29, 2023. He was born December 24, 1928 in Latrobe, a son of the late Ilko and Anna (Byczkowiak) Relick. Mike was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran having served in the Korean conflict. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Ukranian Catholic Church. He was retired from Teledyne Vasco as a group leader. Spike was a founding member of the Kingston Vets and Sportsman Club, a member of the Greek Club, Derry R&G, Latrobe American Legion, and the Slovaks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a founding member of Kingston 10 Camp in Tionesta.
Mike is survived by his children; Michael J. Relick (Barbara), Alex J. Relick, Steve T. Relick (Alison), Debbie Unferdorfer (Charles), Mary C. Shirley, Michell Relick Nuttall (Richard), eleven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mike is preceded in death by his wife Joan (Heasley) Relick and his siblings Nicholas, John, Alex, Joseph and Steve Relick, Rose Maurer, Kathryn Felbaum, Anna Williams and Maria (Agnes) Marcinik and a son-in-law Richard J. Shirley Jr.
Family will receive friends, Friday December 1, 2023, in the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with a blessing service at 4 pm in the funeral home. The Latrobe Derry Veterans Honor Guard will present honors at 6:15pm in the funeral home.
