Andrew F. "Andy" Short, 77, of Derry, died Tuesday May 30, 2017 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. He was born December 29, 1939 in Derry a son of the late James K. and Anna Gamble Short.

Andy was catholic by faith and attended St. Rose Church. He liked to fish, hunt and golf. He retired from Latrobe Steel.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carol St. Clair Short, his brother James Kearney Short and a sister Anna Marie Snoddy.

Andy is survived by his sister Kass Fox of Hendersonville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a prayer service will be conducted Friday at 10am.
