Anna Jane Fairman, 85 of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 surrounded by her family at home. Anna Jane was born February 29, 1932 in Punxsutawney to the late G. Bert Thomas and Esther (Schick) Thomas. Anna Jane was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church in Punxsutawney where she was also a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Angels. Anna Jane enjoyed quilting and sewing, making beautiful blankets for her grandchildren. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and neighbor children. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Stephen Fairman, Sr. who resides in Punxsutawney. In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons; Stephen Fairman Jr., Robert Fairman and wife Peggy and Thomas Fairman all of Punxsutawney. One daughter; Jane McClimans and husband Robert of Erie, five grandchildren; Stephen Fairman and wife Shawnna, Nikki Dugan and husband Ryan, Ryan McClimans and wife Meghan, Michael McClimans and wife Angie and Chris Fairman. Six great-grandchildren; Madison and Bryce Fairman, Lily and Juliana Dugan, and Mary Kate and Amelia McClimans. Anna Jane was preceded in death by a daughter; Debra Fairman and a brother; Robert Thomas. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a memorial service (Panachida) will be held. A Funeral Divine Liturgy will be Celebrated at 10 am Monday, November 27, 2017 at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church with Fr. William Lascelles as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donation's to Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church.
