E. Kist Obituary

E. Ray Kist, 73, of Derry, died Friday November 15, 2019 in Excela Latrobe Hospital. He was born April 8, 1946 in Latrobe a son of the late Eugene Ray and Nell Marie Geist Kist.

Ray graduated from Derry Area High School and California State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. When at California University he lettered three years in swimming. Over the years he was a Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, and Pool Manager at the Derry Community Swimming Pool. He then was a speech pathologist for Crawford County Public Schools, a lifeguard for Riviera Beach Florida and retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.

Ray is survived by his extended family Angelia (best friend) and Timothy Wedow, Mark, Nick, Haley, Hannah and Timothy who all fondly called him "Uncle Ray".

Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a remembrance time will begin at 7:30pm.
