Helen M. Pocivanik, 97, formerly of West Newton, died Monday December 18, 2017 in St. Anne's Home Greensburg. She was born May 28, 1920 in West Newton a daughter of the late Alphonse and Elula Messner Passaro.

Helen was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in West Newton and was a charter member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ludwick Pocivanik and a sister Donath Mayer.

She is survived by her son Jay Pocivanik (Jeanne) of West Newton, her daughter Judith Koveleskie (Robert) of Greensburg, a brotherRalph Passaro (Beverly) of Butler. Six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday January 9, 2018 at 11am in Holy Family Catholic Church in West Newton.
