Joan M. Aul, 85 of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Joan was born April 22, 1932 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Griffith and Margaret ( Muick) Fritz. Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband Willaim J. Aul on December 23, 2010. They were married June 4, 1960. Joan was very involved with St. Paul Monastery events. She was a giving and helpful person. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews; Mary June Woods, Thomas Saunders and Paul Saunders of Pittsburgh, Kathy Liggins of California and Mark Saunders of Pittsburgh and her cousin’s; Patty Smith and James Walsh both of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 At the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter. Mausoleum entombment will be at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh.
