June Beistel Obituary

June L. Beistel, 90, of Derry died Monday April 8, 2019 at the Oak Hill Nursing and Rehab Center, Greensburg. She was born June 13, 1928 in Melcroft a daughter of the late Charles and Lutisha Purbaugh Snyder.

June was a member of the Derry First United Methodist Church. She was an avid Bingo player and loved being around her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Cynthia McClean and her two brothers; Charles Domer Snyder and Ira Snyder.

She is survived by her daughters Jean Brewer (Bert) of York and Linda L. Townsend (Jim) of Latrobe and her son Richard P. Beistel (Karen) of Nashville, TN. Six grandchildren; Janice Simms, Rena Bataille, Betsy Stough (Shaun), Lori Tyndall (Eric), Heather Clark and Shawn Beistel (Kristen). Seven great grandchildren; Devin, Amber, Jesse, Nicolas, Emma, Alyssa and William. Two great great grandchildren Milah and Luke. Several nieces, nephews and her good friend O'Reeta Malone.

Friends will be received Saturday from 10am-noon at the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where her service will be conducted at noon.

Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
