Marjorie L. Gracie

Marjorie L. Markosky Gracie, 82, of Derry passed away peacefully Saturday November 10, 2018. She was born May 28, 1936 in Wilpen a daughter of the late Steve and Catherine Pleban Markosky.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry. Marge became a beautician and had worked at Central Service at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was an avid reader who also loved to garden and cook. Some of her favorite times were her weekly shopping trips with her friends Nancy, Goldie and Janet, with her cousins and friends at the cottage and traveling to California to see her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, always willing to help others in times of need.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Gibby in 1976.

Marge is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Gilbert W. Gracie, her daughter Coleen Roos of San Clemente, CA, her 2 grandaughters; Marissa Tierney (Jon) of New Port Beach, CA and Briana Roos of SanFrancisco, CA. A great grandaughter Brooklyn, nephews Lee Markosky (Kim) of Millwood, James Gracie of Latrobe and numerous cousins.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11am in the Trinity Evangelical Church of Derry with Pastor William Schaeffer officiating. (Everyone please go directly to the church) Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.
