Ann Sheets Obituary

Ann A. Sheets, 87, of Derry, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2024 at Concordia at Bethlen, Ligonier. She was born March 26, 1937 in Bell Township, a daughter of the late Louis K. and Albina Sistek Malnofski. She was a member of the Blairsville Free Methodist Church (now Crossroads) where she had taught Sunday School, volunteered and visited the shut ins. For many years she ran the concession stand for Midget Football along with being a homemaker, great cook and attending Weight Watchers. Being with family and friends was always important to her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Russell N. McKlveen Sr., her second husband Carroll E. Sheets Sr., a daughter Lauren Schirf, her brother Lou Malnofski and two sisters; Ruth Malnofski and Patty Howard.
She is survived by a daughter Sandra Hughes (David) of Derry, her sons; Russell N. McKlveen Jr. (Cathy) of Derry and Jeff McKlveen (Connie) of Palmdale, California, sisters; Mary Lyons of Blairsville and Virginia Costanzo (Bill) of Latrobe, a son in law Grant Schirf of Indiana, a sister in law Esther Malnofski of Derry, grandchildren; Sarah Pender, Chris Hughes, Amanda Torgerson (Bill), Steven and Jessica McKlveen, two step grandchildren; Kayla Yuhas (Lee) and John Deemer (Laura), great grandchildren; Ella, David and Olivia Pender, three step great grandchildren; Bella and Jaxon Deemer and Arlee Yuhas, extended families; Jeff, Jean Marie, Katie and Kari Richard, Denny, Amy, Maggie and Jennifer Herrold, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11am. Interment will be made in the Coles Cemetery, Derry
