Anna Mary "Amy" Thomas

Anna Mary "Amy" Thomas, 76 of Ligonier, died Sunday December 8, 2024 at UPMC-Shadyside. She was born February 15, 1948 in Latrobe a daughter of the late Andrew and Barbara A. Wagner Zavada.
Amy was family oriented and loved being a grandmother. She especially enjoyed her card club, playing cards, going to the Casinos, cutting hair and was the last surviving sibling of the Zavada quadruplets.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Alfred Thomas Sr., two brothers; Larry McBryar and John Zavada and her sisters; Bernadette "Lizzy" Palmer,  Barbara "Barb" Jackman and Frances Getz..
Amy is survived by her son Paul A. "Buck" Thomas JR. and his wife Christine of Fredericksburg, VA and her daughter Januette M. Thomas of Ligonier, grandchildren Parker and Colton, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 10 am. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
