Ardis O. Gauntlett Marton, 86. of Ligonier Township passed away peacefully June 8, 2026 at her home. She was born June 2, 1940 in Pottsville, Pa a daughter of the late James and Sarah Gauntlett.
Prior to retirement Ardis was a bookkeeper at Shebeck's Ford Garage in Ligonier. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Latrobe (Trauger) and enjoyed music having the voice of an angel when she sang singing in the church choir and as a soloist. She had sung with the Sweet Adeline's and also in several choirs throughout Ligonier. After retirement she helped her husband with meals on wheels and volunteered at the Bethlen Home Gift Shop. Ardis loved her family and spending time with them. Her greatest joy in life was her husband Bob enjoying every minute of there fifty-six years of marriage.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Galen Gauntlett.
She is survived by her husband Robert, sister Carolyn Gauntlett, several nieces, nephews, friends, and a sister-in-law Wilma.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier where her service will be conducted Friday at 11 am. Interment will be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
Family prefers to have donations made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 108 Dutch Hill Road, Latrobe, PA 15650 or a charity of ones choice.
