Betty Lou Felbaum

Betty Lou Felbaum, 71, of Ligonier, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2024.  She was born April 26, 1953 in Madison PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Fox) Wise, and graduated from the former Sewickley Township High School in 1971.  Betty devoted over 25 years to the children of Ligonier Valley School District as a Library and Teacher’s Aid.  She had a kind, giving heart, and always loved a good laugh.  One of her most favorite things in the world was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.  Vacations with her family to New Symrna Beach, Maine, and Jackson Hole were very special to her.  Betty’s Christian faith was central to her life and she often encouraged others with God’s love.  She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved late husband, Paul A Felbaum, and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.  

Betty is survived by her loving daughters, Janell (Eric) Rhoads of Shaler, Amanda (Courtney) Jones of Mars, 6 grandchildren, Bo Rhoads, Sloane Rhoads, Cooper Jones, Berkley Jones, Oakley Jones, and Kennedy Jones.  She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Tina) Wise of Export, and her loving niece Brenda (Mark) Love of Latrobe.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Lavonne Staney, and her niece, Deborah Fraicola.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, June 19th at Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Ligonier, PA at 10am, followed by a service at 11am.
