Betty L. Siko

Betty L. Siko of Derry, passed on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Independence Health System Hospital Westmoreland. She was born March 1, 1937, in New Derry. Betty was the loving wife of Joseph W. Siko by whom she was proceeded in death.

Betty was member of St Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Bradenville. For many years she was a member the church, Ladies Guild, and Ladies Auxiliary of the DTVFD (Bradenville). She was involved in many community activities and actively enjoyed going to her children’s and grandchildren’s events.

 She was proceeded in death by her mother, Martha Boggio Reott, her son-in-law G. Victor Mowry and several of her siblings.

  She is survived by her four children: Joseph W. Siko Jr (Nancy) of Norfolk, VA, Cynthia S. Mowry of Derry, PA, Richard D. Siko of Chesapeake, VA, and Steven C. Siko (Karen) of Latrobe, PA. Grandchildren Brandon Mowry (Nicole), V. Andrew Mowry (Marissa), Lauren Briggs (Jedediah), Kyle Siko, Carly Siko, Molly Siko, Devin Siko, Kaylen Siko, and Austin Siko. Great Grandchildren Brayden Mowry, Chase Mowry, Jedediah Briggs II, and Archer Mowry.

  Surviving Siblings: Evelyn Inzitari, Aggie Brown, Kathy Carver, Richard Reott, and serval nephews and nieces.

As per Betty’s wishes, her funeral service our being held privately for her family. Interment will be made at St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery.
