Carol Ruth Mitchell

Carol Ruth Mitchell, 82, of Ligonier, died unexpectedly Thursday February 20, 2025 at her home. She was born July 12, 1942 in Ligonier a daughter of the late Robert E. "Cappy" and Florence R. McDowell Nicely.
Carol had worked as a receptionist at the Ligonier YMCA, had driven school bus for the Ligonier Valley School District and was a 50 year member to the Ligonier Twp. VFD #1 Waterford Station 44 Ladies Auxiliary.
Carol was married to Robert Glenn Mitchell who passed away on the same day.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy L. Roberts (William) of Ligonier, her son Randy L. Lawson of Derry, a sister Bonnie Large (Tom) of The Villages, Florida, grandchildren; Michael Roberts (Beth), Joshua Roberts (Angela) and Jenni David (Quinn), great grandchildren; Will, Jake, Hayley, Karley, Nataley and Caleb, several nieces and nephews.
At her request all services were to be private.
