Charles "Charlie" Krydick

Charles "Charlie" Krydick, 83, of Latrobe, formerly of Sweet Briar Drive, North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, July 9, at Latrobe Hospital, surrounded by the family he cherished most. He was born August 19, 1942, in Keystone, Pa., a son of the late Charles and Tillie (Beckman) Krydick. A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ligonier, Charlie enjoyed gardening, especially tending his tomato plants; hitting golf balls; cruising in his '87 Monte Carlo; family vacations to the Outer Banks; his cat, Stella; dogs, Lassie and Charlie; and, most of all, Sunday dinners with his family, where he loved playing bingo and Left, Right, Center. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Local Union No. 1058 as a laborer foreman for 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Patricia A. (Stanish) Krydick; sons, Chris (Joni), Joe (Stephanie), and Dave (Lori) Krydick; a sister, Patty Flanders; grandchildren, Jesse (Sydney), Noah, Mackenzie (Tanner), Drew, Jake, Hanna, Graci, and Kortney (Ryan); and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St., Ligonier. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Anthony J. Carbone as celebrant. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin.
