Charles H. Palmer

Charles H. Palmer, 91, of New Florence, died Friday September 30, 2022 at
the Bethlen Home. He was born May 8, 1931 in Fairfield Township a son of the
late Charles B. and A. Rachel Wisner Palmer.
Charles was  a US Air Force Korean War Veteran and had retired from Latrobe Steel after 37 years of
service.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty M. Byers Palmer, three sisters; Cora Jane Palmer, Esther Lute and Sara Ambrose,
and two brothers Arnold and Henry Palmer.
He is survived by his daughter Janet L. Matson (Herbert) of New Florence, two sons; Walter L. Palmer (Ally Ann) of
Seven Valleys, PA and Charles H. Palmer Jr. (Sharon) of Latrobe.  Also surviving is a brother David Palmer (LoraLee) of Ligonier
and three grandchildren; Ashley Zindash (Adam), James Matson (Mallory) and Aaron Palmer, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday from 5-7pm in The McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. His funeral service 
will be conducted at 7pm in the funeral home. Private interment will be made in the Fort Palmer Cemetery.
The Ligonier Valley Honor Guard will present a service Monday at 6:45pm in the funeral home.
