Cherie R. Ambrose

Cherie R. Ambrose, 89 of Ligonier passed away peacefully November 4, 2025. She was born March 6, 1936, in Blackfield Twp, Somerset County, a daughter of the late David F. and Anna Mae (Sperry) Rubright. Cherie loved to bake for her family. She was well known for her home made pies and soups at Erin's Place. Cherie is survived by her loving son Richard D Ambrose Jr. (Alice) of Ligonier, loving niece Candy Giesey (Tom) her grandchildren Cody Underwood (Cassie), Heather Roddy (Amy), Dennis Ambrose (Sam), Richard Oslosky (Sara), Alyssia Marron (Brad) and Alyssa Davis (Nick), four great grandchildren Violet Underwood, Julijana, Bayleigh and Lainie Marron, two sisters Daisy Schmitt of New Jersey and Dorothy Haines of Arizona. Numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Cherie is preceded in death by her husband Richard D. Ambrose, two daughters very loved and missed Sandy Ambrose Oslosky and Bonnie Ambrose Underwood, three siblings Erin Springer, Davida Rubright and Robert Rubright and a granddaughter Karen Howe.

Family will be received Friday November 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St. Ligonier where a funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday with Rev Dr. Paul McCracken. Interment will be held in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
