Cheryl L. Kerin

Cheryl L. Kerin, 58 of Derry passed away February 27, 2025, after a brief, courageous battle with illness.  She was born September 21, 1966, in Greensburg a daughter of the late Richard A. and Lois J. (Ellig) Jackson.  Cheryl had been employed at True Value Hardware where she loved helping others.  Softball was her lifelong passion, from playing, coaching and watching the women's college softball games along with the little league world series.  Cheryl had a great hooded sweatshirt collection from her travels.  Another one of her pastimes would be working puzzlebooks and collecting her Precious Moments figurines.  Her greatest passion in life was her children and grandchildren.  Cheryl is survived by her husband Roger L. Kerin, her children Andrew Kerin (Ashley) and Danielle Unferdorfer (Colton), her grandchildren Brooklynn, Jordon and Hayden Kerin; Connor, Ava and Zane Unferdorfer, her sister Lori Kelly (Mark), two brothers Richard B. Jackson (Becky) and Gary Jackson (Diana), brother in-laws David J. Kerin and Mark A. Kerin (Karen) and a sister in-law Toni Dimatteo (Norm) and several nieces and nephews.  
Family will receive friends Monday March 3, 2025, in the McCabe Funeral Home 300 West Third Ave Derry from 4 to 7 PM where a service will be held at 7PM, with Pastor James Hennigen officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
