It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Craig McKlveen, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and lifelong farmer who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 01, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at his home.
Craig was born on April 26, 1945, in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, and was the oldest child of John and Betty (Lichliter) McKlveen.
On September 18, 1971, Craig married Joy (Pechart). Together they built a life full of love, faith, and dedication. Their union was blessed with four children.
Craig spent his lifetime on the farm, raising livestock, milking cows, and caring for his loved ones. He will be greatly missed but remembered for his commitment to hard work, his dedication to family, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to others.
Craig is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joy McKlveen; his children, Jason (Diane) McKlveen, Nathan (Pamela) McKlveen, Amy (Edward) Vargo, and Matthew (Ashley) McKlveen; his 11 grandchildren, Cody and Kaelyn McKlveen, Moiya, Keely, Lachlan and Liam McKlveen, Ali and Jacob Vargo, and Kiera, Avi, and Darren McKlveen; his two great-grandchildren, Kasen and Stetson.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lee. He is survived by his sister-in-law Elaine McKlveen.
Craig's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering and celebrating Craig’s life during a visitation on Friday, October 3, from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. We welcome all who knew and loved him to gather, share memories, and find comfort together. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, at 11:00a.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, Ligonier.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Oak Grove Church of Christ.
