Cynthia Lois Bates

Cynthia Lois Bates 68, of Ligonier, passed away Monday May 18, 2026 at Mountain View Memory Care in Greensburg. She was born May 29, 1957 in Ligonier a daughter of the late Richard E. Bates Sr. and Gloria Ruth Johnson Bates Crowe.
Cindy had spent over twenty years in the Port Angeles, Washington Area before returning to Ligonier. She had worked at TSI Titanium in Derry for over twenty-five years and had a love for fishing (Trout), hiking and camping.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Richard E. Bates Jr. and her step father Frank I. Crowe
Surviving are her children Patrick Sheehy of Derry and Virginia Erin "GiGi" Sheehy of Latrobe, sister Tamela Corcoran of Ligonier, brothers Rodger Bates (Ann) of Oro Valley, AZ and Phillip Bates of Ligonier, grandchildren Melissa Cox and Hunter Winters, brother and sister in laws Charles "Chuck" and Phyliss Sheehy of Export, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Sunday May 24, 2026 form 12-2 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. Private interment will be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
