Dale Brian Henigin, 60, of Derry, passed away at his home Friday January 9, 2026. He was born February 6, 1965, in Latrobe, a son of Gloria (Polard) Henigin and the late Dale Regis Henigin. Dale is survived by his son, Dale Brian Henigin Jr., of Derry, and his daughter Grace Ann Henigin of State College, his mother Gloria Henigin of Derry, a brother Darin A. Henigin (Cara Washinko) of Derry, two sisters Renee A. Puschnigg (Jeff) of Stahlstown and Kristen G. Puschnigg (Greg) of Ligonier, six nieces and nephews Kali Ann Henigin, Joseph T. Puschnigg, Ashley A. Puschnigg, Tatiana K. Puschnigg-DesJarlais (Ryan), Jack F. Puschnigg (Cole Gongloff) and Ava K. Puschnigg.
Dale was a 1983 graduate of Derry Area High School where he played football. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy and attended elementary school. He attended James Madison University on a full football scholarship and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a retired Johnstown High School teacher where he also coached track and field. Dale was known for being a very generous man, a good storyteller and having a big personality. He had a very witty sense of humor and was generally a happy fun person, who was easy to joke around with. The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care for exceptional care. Family will receive friends Friday, January 16, from 4 to 7pm, in the McCabe Funeral Home 300 West Third Avenue Derry.
