David Kevin Pounds

David Kevin Pounds, 66, formerly of Derry, died Thursday October 26, 2023 in Independence Health System Latrobe. He was born December 4, 1956 in Latrobe a son of the late John H. and Ruth Marie Edsall Pounds.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John R. "Jack" Pounds.
David graduated from Derry Area High School, blessed by God and was a blessing from God in so many unique ways. He had an amazing memory for dates, especially birthdays, and he enjoyed  surprising friends and family with a phone call on their special day. Two of his passions were art and antique cars which he combined to fill countless notebooks with incredibly detailed pencil drawings of vintage automobiles. Perhaps his most amazing talent was the ability to calculate the day of the week for any date in history within seconds.  David also loved music, cartoons, especially Popeye, and pretty girls. Most of all, David loved Jesus with all his heart. Our hearts are comforted to know that he is now with his Savior, fully healed and fully restored.
David is survived by his sister Norma Kay Bridges (Terry) of Overlandpark, Kansas.
David will be layed to rest besides his parents in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
