Deborah Ann Baker, 70, of Loyalhanna, died Saturday August 9, 2025 at IHS Westmoreland Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 3, 1955 in Latrobe a daughter of the late Curtis A. and Eileen C. Harrold Smith.
She was a member of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Ligonier and a lady who always enjoyed crafts, baking and cooking. Doing anything she could for her daughter and granddaughters was a top priority for her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew Joshua Zappone.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Robert T. Baker, her daughter Nicole Hickman (Brian) of Greensburg, a brother David A. Smith of Loyalhanna, her sister Sandra Lee Zappone (Raymond) of Latrobe, three granddaughters; Ava, Alissa and Alivia Hickman and a nieces Rachel Maxfield.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 am at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church (everyone go directly to the church) with her pastor Reverend David R. Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
