Debra S Matrunics, née Debra "Susie" McPaul, passed away Monday October 23, 2023 unexpectedly at her home in Ligonier. She was born February 9, 1955, in Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace Reid and Berta (Gerum) McPaul, daughter Mary Catherine Burke, brother Michael McPaul, sisters Jeanne Mulroney and Marilyn Haun McPaul.
Debra is survived by her sons Charles Burke (Maria) of Ligonier, Martin Burke (Kelli) of Myrtle Beach SC, daughter Lisa Burke (Darrin) of Myrtle Beach SC, daughter in law Candace Lawrence Burke, brother John Peter McPaul, sisters Sonja Siweckyi, Karen Mantz, Linda Miller and Nancy McPaul, grandchildren Chace, Reid, Carsen, Mason, Charles, Cashten, Maiya and Kaiya, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Debra enjoyed crocheting, visiting with her grandkids and spending time with her dogs. She will be greatly missed by those that were lucky enough to be loved by her. Debra will be eternally remembered for her stubborn strength, fierce independence and tireless support of her friends and family.
A memorial will be held at the McCabe Funeral Home 144 E. Main St, Ligonier, Saturday November 11, 2023 from Noon to 2pm.
