Donald W Queer, 66, of Derry, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones Monday October 16, 2023 after he lost his fight against cancer. He was born November 8, 1956 in Latrobe, son of the late Clarence and Ethel Queer. He had a love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates. He is survived by his daughter Jacqueline Norris (Morgan) of Monterey, Tennessee, and his daughter Fawn Benge (Rufus) of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, his eleven grandchildren; Cody Harding (Bethany), Stone Pommert, Trey Pommert, Leslie Puckett (Alexander), Chase Pommert (Madisen), Xavier Schaffer, Jacob Sweet, Isaac Norris, Camron Norris, Jayda Benge, John Paul Benge, and bonus grandchild Jace Stump, his six great grandchildren; Paislee, Cody Jr, Thraxton, Hudson, Oakleigh, and Lil Harlan, his nephews Keith Davis, Shawn Sprock, Billy Queer (Johnna), Donald Clark and niece Joni Queer, several great nieces and nephews, his childhood friends Ralph Schaffer and Mel Campbell, and sister Donna Clark. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Queer, mother Ethel Queer (Jackson), step father Edward Jackson, brother Bill Queer, sisters Kathy Sprock and Evelyn Queer, nephew Joshua Sprock, grandson Camron Carnes and his high school sweetheart and love of his life Sharon Queer (Hornyak). He will always be remembered for his contagious smile, big blue eyes and the love he had for all of his family and friends and fur baby Ginger. A special thanks to his hospice nurses for helping care for him in his final weeks and always putting a smile on his face when they were there. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
