Donna L. Short

Donna L. Short, 81, of Latrobe, died Wednesday April 16, 2025 at Independence Health System Westmoreland. She was born January 29, 1944 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Jacob and Betty Jean Cross Albright.
Donna had worked for Smith Bus Company for over twenty-six years and had been a waitress at many local restaurants. She was always a hard worker who loved her family and cooking.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David L. Short, and four brothers; Dennis, Jake and Stanley Albright and Paul Galley.
She is survived by her children; David L. Short Jr. (Mary) of Blairsville, Michael J. Short (Michelle) of Latrobe, Cindy Heckathorn (John) of Blairsville, Wendy Guerrier (Edward) of Latrobe, Jacqueline Short (Michael Slansky) of Homer City and Stacie Ash (Thomas) of Homer City, two sisters; Debbie Pawlik of Blairsville and Sheila Hughes (Ed) of Derry, twelve grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion Toby.
Friends will be received Monday from 4-7 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry, where her service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor James Henigin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
