Dr. James Wesley Allison

Dr. James Wesley Allison Jr. 73, is at peace as of November 6th, 2023. He was surrounded by his beloved wife and family. James was a son of the late James Sr. and Carol Allison.
He was a graduate of Gateway high school before entering the military. James was a decorated Army Green Beret Specialist veteran having served multiple tours during the Vietnam War. Upon return, he worked for the city of Pittsburgh as a paramedic and then pursued a doctorate degree from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic. In 1984, he opened Allison Chiropractic Center in Derry, where he and his wife Jean (Brennan) raised their 5 children: Jeremiah (Dina), Joshua (Doriane), Jenny (Scott), Jared (Brianna), and Jamie (Owen). He is the beloved Grandfather to Rune, Tristan, Eric, Russell, Gabriella, Graham, Mackenzie, Allison, and Elliot and brother of Timothy Allison. 
Jim was a member of LaMonte Lodge #568 F&AM of Derry and the Syria Shriners of Pittsburgh. A memorial gathering will be held at McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry, on Thursday, November 16th, 2023, from 4-7pm.
A masonic service will be conducted Thursday at 6:45pm in the funeral home followed by his service at 7pm.
Jim will be laid to rest at a private interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, November 17th. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making memorial donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or online.
