Edwin Leon Henderson

Edwin Leon Henderson, 86, of Latrobe, died Saturday October 28, 2023 at Independence Health System Latrobe. He was born February 14, 1937 in Johnstown, a son of the late Dallas and Mildred Knupp Henderson.
He had been a member of Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church and Bethany Methodist Church.
For almost fifty years Ed had been an independent owner/operator truck driver, driving over a million miles. In his early years he had worked for the Garfield Brick Yard in Bolivar and Eidemiller Construction. He was an avid Steeler fan, NASCAR fan and  Antique Car Collector who loved going to car shows. 
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Risbon Henderson, his brother Donald Henderson and a sister Sara Clark.
He is survived by his son Gary L. Henderson (Nadine), a brother Glenn Henderson (Joan), a sister Carolyn Dillon (Willard), and a sister in law Eda Henderson all of Latrobe.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street Ligonier, where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11am. Interment will follow in the Fort Palmer Cemetery.
