Emil Sellong Sr.

Emil Sellong Sr. 87, of Ligonier passed away September 25, 2025 in the Harmon House Health and Rehab Center. He was born November 17, 1937 in Uniontown a son of the late John and Anna (Dursa) Sellong. Emil was retired after working as a skilled trade welder. He was a good baseball player which gave him the opportunity for a try out with the Baltimore Orioles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Emil is survived by his children Emil Sellong Jr., Doug Sellong, Donnie Sellong (Sonya), and Deborah Spaw, seven grandchildren Jessica, Eric, Michael, Melissa, Ethan, Morgan and Justin, Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Emil is preceded in death by his children Danette Ritz and Daniel Sellong and his brother William Sellong. Family will receive friends Tuesday September 30, from 12 - 2 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, Ligonier where a Catholic Blessing service will be celebrated at 2pm.
