George V. Kozemchak

George V. Kozemchak, 76 of Ligonier, died unexpectedly Tuesday December 27, 2022 at his home. He was born August 18, 1946 in Latrobe a son of the late Michael and Agnes Schalcosky Kozemchak.
George was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the PA National Guard Co. C 28th Sig.Btn. He was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local #66. He belonged to VFW Post #734 of Ligonier, the Ligonier American Legion Post #267 and St. Anthonys Club. He loved his family and time spent with them.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Todd Elmer Kozemchak, three brothers; Stanley, Steven and Paul Kozemchak.
He is survived by his loving daughter Mistie Johnston (Chris ) of Greensburg, his two grandchilden Kennedy Marie and Alexander Todd Johnston, four brothers; Mike Kozemchak (Millie), David Kozemchak (Mary), Tom Kozemchak (Grace) and John Kozemchak; four sisters; Susan Warchola (Mike), Mary Frances McFeeley (Richard), Linda Stidard and Marlene Koerbel (Dave). Numerous nieces, nephews and his fur babies Lucky and Peanut.
Friends will be received Thursday from 5-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street Ligonier. The Ligonier Valley Veteran"s Honor Guard will present a service at 7pm in the funeral home.
Private interment will be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
