George Ruby

George Ruby, 74, of Derry, died Tuesday October 14, 2025. He was born August 2, 1951 in Ligonier a son of the late John and Anna Marie Bier Ruby.

George was a graduate of Derry Area High School and had retired from Torrance State Hospital after over 30 years of service. He had a love for animals (especially his late dog Jack), fishing, gardening and playing the lottery.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings; John, William, Steve and Frank Ruby, Anna Marie Angus and Margaret McElhoes.

He is survived by siblings; Paul Ruby and his wife Faye, Betty Ruby, Mary Erney and her husband Robert, Kathy Beason and her husband John, brother in law John "Jack" McElhoes, sister in law Ruth Ruby, numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request all services were to be private.

McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry was in charge of arrangements.
