Jerry lived a life devoted to faith, family, and community. A deeply committed member of the First Church of the Brethren in Waterford, PA, Jerry served in numerous roles throughout the years.
Jerry was the Son of William Harry Hooper and Alameda Hooper of Mill Creek, PA. He is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Janice Hooper, who stood by his side through all of life’s joys and challenges. He leaves behind his son, Jeff Hooper; his two adopted daughters, Lena Hooper Gabrahana and Jessic Hooper Simboli, and his brother, Robert D. Hooper. He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved sons, Jack and Jere Hooper, who preceded him in passing.
He was a cherished grandfather to his granddaughters, Jacklyn Hooper Hicks and Julia Hooper, and his grandson, Jonathan Hooper. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Nikita Ross Jr., Zoe Ross, Anderson Hicks, Amelia Hicks, and Isaiah Hankerson. His love for his family was immeasurable, and his legacy of kindness, strength, and storytelling will live on in their hearts forever.
