Helen B. Connor

Helen Ziegenfus Connor, 92, formerly of New Derry, died on March 17, 2025, at Waynesburg Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Waynesburg, PA.  She was born October 11, 1932, in Latrobe.  

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Connor, Sr. in 1984.  She was preceded in death by three brothers: Joseph, Ernest and Richard Ziegenfus and two sisters: Florence Noel, and Bernadette Eicher.  She was also preceded in death by her great grandson Andrew Eckels.

Helen is survived by her children, Joseph, Jr. (JC) and Glenna Connor of Loyalhanna; James and Amy Connor of Latrobe; Lynne Connor and Ben Dunmire of New Derry; and Daniel and Heidi Connor of Waynesburg.  She is survived by 12 grandkids and 15 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends around the kitchen table.  She enjoyed finding four leaf clovers and handing them out to family and friends.  Helen is now in heaven handing out four leaf clovers to friends and family.  

Visitation will be held in the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 4-7 pm, where a funeral service will be celebrated March 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in St. Martin Catholic Church Cemetery in New Derry.
