Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Caldwell, 80, of Fairfield Township died Monday January 6, 2025 at Independence Latrobe Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 21, 1944 in Johnstown a daughter of the late John and Louise Love Luther.
Jackie was a member of the Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. For over thirty years she had worked in the Ligonier Valley School District as a cafeteria secretary. Her biggest joys in life were being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going to Bethany Beach, camping and sewing. She was a kind and compassionate person who was always sending birthday cards to all and she and Dean were known for doing anything for anyone who needed something.
She is survived by her loving husband of over sixty-four years Ronald "Dean" Caldwell, her children; Beth Caldwell, Ronald "Bud" Caldwell and Bonnie Waltz (Greg), Kelly Miller (Pat) her grandchildren; Tiffany White (Bill), Trisha Caldwell-Cravener (Chris Beddick), Tara Jellison (Shawn), Candace Carbone (Richard) Zachary Waltz (Summer), Ryan Waltz (Amia), great grandchildren; Killian and MacCauley Cravener, Harlee and Bowen Thompson, Ryver Jellison, Emma Louise White, Caleb Carbone and new Waltz baby coming in 2025, siblings; beloved sister Carol Clawson (Denny), brothers; Dick Luther (Sue) and Dave Luther (Lynda), brother and sister in law Richard and Nancy Caldwell, good friends; Joyce West (the late Roger) and family, the King family and Bob Lawson.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-6 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11am at the Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. J. Paul McCracken officiating. Interment will be made in the West Fairfield Cemetery.
