Judith P. Weimer of Laughlintown, passed away Friday July 24, 2026 at IHS Latrobe Hospital.
She was born September 28, 1949, in Latrobe a daughter to Leonard and Naida Dunn Peffer, Sr.
Judy was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 267 having held other offices, she had been the president of the Laughlintown Community Center for over 25 years, served as a Poll Worker and Judge of Election for Westmoreland County for 20 years, and was a 4-H leader.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Zachary Weimer.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Lemon Thomas Weimer, a daughter Amy Andrews (Samuel) son Daniel Weimer (Cynthia), siblings, Leonard Peffer, Jr. (Beverly) Timothy Peffer (Margie) Linda Kovacina, Barabara Onega (Richard), grandchildren Jakob and Jared Andrews, Abigail Orchard, Olivia Mineo (Jesse) great grandchildren Aaron, Walter, Marcella and Chester Mineo, who will loving remember her as “MiMi” she absolutely adored her grandchildren, often saying being their MiMi was her favorite job. Judy also had many surrogate grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom she adored as well. She is also survived by sister-in-law Nancy Weimer and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Judy’s name to The Laughlintown Community Center.
Judy will be remembered by all who knew her for her kind heart, quick wit and freely giving her honest opinion.
The family invites all who knew her to a celebration of Judy’s life on Saturday August 29, 2026, at the Laughlintown Community Center starting at noon.
