Kenneth R. Caves

Kenneth R. Caves, 85, of Latrobe, died Tuesday March 18, 2025 at his home. He was born September 30, 1939 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Charles H. and Sally E. Hays Caves Hutchison.
Ken was a proud US Navy Veteran having served two enlistments from 1956 to 1962. He formerly owned and operated the Cedar Lounge in Youngwood.
Ken is survived by his wife Peggy Shaulis Caves, his daughter Tammy Hoffer (Michael) of Youngwood, grandchildren Quinley, Alexis and Brandon Hoffer, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday from 4-7 pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 144 East Main Street, Ligonier where a service will be conducted Saturday at 11 am with the Rev. Dr. J. Paul McCracken officiating. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery. The Ligonier Valley Veterans Honor Guard will present a service Friday at 7 pm in the funeral home.
