Marcia T. White

Marcia T. White, 80. of Derry, died Saturday November 4, 2023 at Concordia Ligonier Gardens. She was born December 15, 1942 in Latrobe, the daughter of the late J. Hilary and Mildred McWherter Thomas.
Marcia was an active member and supporter of the Derry Presbyterian Church. She was a 1960 graduate of Derry Area High School and IUP. For many years she was an elementary teacher in the Greater Latrobe School District. Family get togethers, her grandchildren, friends visiting, doing crossword puzzles, practicing her faith, reading and supporting the library, were some of the things that made her happiest.
She is survived by her loving daughters; Lori DeLuca (Dominic) of Derry and Lisa Roth (Eric) of Latrobe, her brother James H. Thomas (Judy) of Greensburg, grandchildren; Alaina Lavsa (Steven), Madison Short (Justin), Dominic DeLuca, Saige and Nathan Roth, great grandchildren; Vivienne Lavsa and Greyson Short, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11am.
Interment will be made in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.
