Margaret F. “Marge” (Brajercik) Beattie passed away at home peacefully on June 19, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” L. Beattie. Marge’s life was a testament to love, resilience and generosity. Her cheerful disposition will be missed by all who knew her. Born to Stefan and Mary Brajercik in Clairton and graduated from Clairton High School. Marge was also predeceased by her sister Mary Ann “Agnes” Pekala and her brother Stefan “Steve” Brajercik. She is survived by her brother Thomas “Tom” Brajercik and sister-in-law Shelley of Aliquippa. Marge leaves behind a loving family, including her three sons: Richard L. Beattie, Jr. (Laura) of Forest Hills, Gregory Beattie of Ligonier, and Brian Beattie (Christine) of Fox Chapel. A cherished grandmother to Paul, Caroline, Jordan, Mikenna and Natalie, as well as great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marge and Dick resided in Pittsburgh and raised their family together enjoying all the city had to offer. When Dick was transferred to Iowa, Marge set-up their home where she continued to maintain close ties to family and friends while making new acquaintances. Dick’s job then took her to England and California, but she never forgot her hometown or cheering for the Pirates and Steelers. Upon retirement, they returned to Pennsylvania and resided in Ligonier where Marge again made new friends and began another chapter. In her new hometown, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, cross-stitching, shopping, playing cards, and became known for her famous homemade jams and jellies. Never one to sit idle, Marge was a volunteer at many organizations throughout her life even most recently at Holy Trinity Parish and Latrobe Hospital. She was most happy surrounded by her family at home for countless holidays and celebrations. Marge’s positive outlook and loving kindness will never be forgotten by her family or friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Parish, 342 W Main Street, Ligonier, PA 15658 at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday June 24. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
