Mary Elizabeth Palmer, 66, died July 8, 2026. She was born on December 13, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania a daughter of William E. Palmer and Teresa Sajek Palmer. She graduated from the Ethel Walker School in 1977, attended Penn State and Boston Universities and graduated from Culinary School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She worked as an Executive Chef on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi, a state that was her happy home for many years.
Besides her professional career, her greatest commitment was to her dogs. She had many over the years, mostly mongrels rescued along the back roads of Mississippi. Each was precious to her and received the best of care. In later years, she devoted more attention to artistic endeavors following in the footsteps of her mother. At a later date, a memorial service will be held at St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown, Rhode Island where she will join her mother.
